Various Topics Related to the
OMIX Programs Explained Below |
|
|
| 1.- |
Optimal Solution |
| |
It is obtained by giving a Fixed, Lower or
Upper limit in the Feed Ingredient (FI) + Nutrient + Nut. Ratio + FI Group + FI Combination
windows. Formula; It is solved by the program as Lowest Cost (LP: Revised Simplex
methods). |
|
|
| 2.- |
Manual Solution |
| |
Feed ingredient amounts are entered by the
user. The program reports nutrient deficiencies. Price is also calculated, but the solution
is not Lowest Cost. Manual solution; It is available in addition to Optimal Solution in
ration formulation (TmR) programs. |
|
|
| 3.- |
Stock Control |
| |
Stock Control is available in all programs
(directly on the FI window/RM Database writing window - marked as Yes/No) |
|
|
| 4.- |
Data Source |
|
There are two types of data sources: the first is the Reference Matrix
(predefined), and the second is the Data File. The program saves the data it uses in the
solution to the Data File, making it portable. When the file is reopened, if the data source
is selected as File, it retrieves prices and other data from the file. If the data source is
selected as Reference Matrix, the content and prices are taken from the predefined matrix.
In programs above 2.5 version, if prices are changed, they can optionally be saved back
to the predefined matrix when exiting from the Feed Input window. In this case, it doesn’t
matter whether the data source is the Reference Matrix or not. However, if the user acquires
a data file externally, they need to select the data source as a file for solving. The
predefined matrix and prices may have changed. Prices actually need to be updated
continuously. That is the requirement of the job. |

Program Updates |
|
If a new update has been released for the
program you are using, you download and install on the existing program. There is no need to reactivate. The update is free. Be sure to install
the latest update on your computer. The update date of the current program can be viewed
with the <Help->License Status> option in the main menu. The program can be downloaded directly from the web site.
Additionally, the update status check agent is added at startup (HTTP download). In this
case; <C:\OMX_Setup> directory is used for installation
before startup the program. In this case, user must back up his/her data before
installation, and after this setup, he must restore from back up for avoiding data lose.
Data loss is due to the changes and updates you made in the Reference Matrix. For
backup/restore, menu options are available under the <Reference Matrix> main menu option in OMIX_Pro 2.7E and OMIX_TmR 2.7E, and under the <Maintenance->Databases> main menu option in OMIX_CKar 2.0E and OMIX_Kar 2.7E programs. |

Report Viewer |
|
OMIX programs have own report editor. But as alternative we added access to NotPad and WinWord as report viewer-printing tools. Even though it existed in Windows 10,
WinWord was removed from Windows 11. Lastly, the users have wanted PDF output, for this we
added Html, PDF and Excel output routines, as well. User can select from the
<Settings> that which tool he wants, if the system has Reader, Chrome/Edge or MS
Excel. |

| 7.- |
Using Logo |
|
User Logo is kept in the Program Data directory's <Logo_In> sub
directory. For example OMIX_Kar 2.7E program; it is <Lgo_In> directory under the
<Documents\OMIX_Kar27E SysData> directory. If user prepares a company logo and put it
to <Logo_In> directory; the program use it during the preparing html, Pdf and Excel type
reports. Logo file name must be OLogox.png. This logo
can be prepared by user using Internet utility programs or related technical assistance.
Otherwise, program use the existing base logo in that directory. |
