Prof. Dr. Ramazan YETİŞİR

I was born in 1953 in İkizli Village of Konya's Karapınar district. I entered Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science in 1971, and graduated with good degree in June 1976, becoming an High Agricultural Engineer. In 1977, I attended an English course for 6 months at the Ministry of Agriculture Personnel Training Center. In 1979, I was sent to Saragossa (Spain) with a scholarship from the Mediterranean Agricultural Institutes to increase my professional knowledge and skills for one year. There I received basic training on Higher Statistics, Population Genetics and Animal Breeding, Reproductive Biology, Animal Nutrition and received a certificate. Meanwhile, I went to the language academy for 4 months to study Spanish.

I started my doctoral studies at Ankara University, Institute of Science and Technology. I Completed my doctoral studies with the guidance of Animal Nutrition department of same faculty in 1982 year. I went to Scotland in February 1988 with a British Technical Assistance scholarship. I attended post-University courses at the Department of Poultry Science at the West of Scotland, College of Agriculture and conducted research on Broiler Parenting. I stayed there for six months.

In October 1988, I received the title of University Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science of Seljuk University. Between 1992 and 1994, I served as the head of the Department. Also, I served as the head of the Animal Rising and Breeding Main Science Branche between 1996-2009, and again as the head of the Department of Animal Science between 2010-2013. On the other hand, I dealt with professional issues as the President of Konya Agricultural Engineers Association between 1991-1993. Between 1996 (October) - 2004 (June), I served as the Director of Karapınar Vocational School. I am a member of the professional non-governmental organizations; Turkish Agricultural Engineers Association, Turkish Branch of World's Poultry Science Association and TMMO Chamber of Agricultural Engineers. I know English and Spanish. I am married and the father of two children.
